Description

This property contains the north half of a multi-family residence. The entire building is described below. The house consists of a 2.5-story, 6- bay cross-gabled core with a 2- story rear addition and a 1-story enclosed porch on the main (west) elevation. The roof is clad with slate shingles on the north half and asphalt shingles on the south half. A small chimney is located at the north and south ends of the ridge; the north chimney is a historic banded brick unit while the south chimney is a replacement stuccoed unit. The house has extended eaves supported by sprockets. The wall surface is stuccoed. Fenestration consists of replacement 1x1 double hung sash units, arranged mostly symmetrically. On the main (west) elevation, a single window is located in the peak of the front cross gable. The second floor features six windows facing over the front porch. The front porch is an enclosed element with a hipped roof clad with asphalt shingles; the walls are stuccoed with multi-light windows (larger windows on the north unit). The main entrances into the separate units are incorporated into the design of the porch. The north unit is accessed by a replacement door with nine inset lights opening at location of the party wall atop a set of concrete steps with a railing. The south unit is accessed by a replacement door opening on the basement level near the southwest corner. The end walls feature windows on three levels, aligned vertically and horizontally. The foundation is stuccoed. The rear addition is a 2-story section with a shed roof, stuccoed walls, and windows similar to those on the core.
