Description |
This house is a two-and-a-half-story, five-bay, Cape Cod and its main features are its continuous dormer and half-shoulder, brick chimney. It features a side-gable roof that is clad with asphalt shingles and has vinyl eaves. The house is clad in vinyl siding. Most of the house’s windows are replacements and they are flanked by inoperable shutters. The roof of the front (south) elevation features a continuous shed-roof dormer with three, single, one-over-one, double-hung sash windows evenly spaced across its face. The first floor of the south elevation features a concrete stoop that leads to a center front door. The stoop is accessed by a concrete staircase with a double, balustrade. The front door is flanked on its east by two, single, one-over-one, double-hung sash windows and on its west by two, single, one-over-one, double-hung sash windows. The house’s foundation is clad in stucco. |

History |
The house was constructed c. 1947. Historic maps, Sanborn Atlases, and historic aerials show a vacant parcel in this location as late as 1940. The historic aerial of 1947 shows the entire parcel disturbed in preparation for construction. The house appears on all subsequent historic aerials. |
