Description |
The property contains a 2-story, 3-bay vernacular house with some
Colonial Revival details. Its end-gabled roof is clad with asphalt
shingles, and the minimal eaves are aluminum. The house's frame walls are
clad with aluminum siding. Fenestration consists primarily of replacement
1x1 double hung sash windows; those on the main (north) elevation feature
inoperable louvered shutters. The main elevation features windows in the
western two bays. The eastern bay has no second floor window; the bay
contains a cottage door (six inset light over two vertical panels) on the
first floor, opening below a single light transom. The front porch is a
hipped element; its roof is clad with asphalt shingles, and three turned
posts connected by a thin railing support the eaves. A set of concrete
steps leads down to the grade of the front lawn. The house has a concrete
foundation with horizontal basement windows.
The end walls of the house are similar in design. Each end features a
tripartite attic window (replacement) above a noticeable frieze type
board along the eaveline. The lower floors feature windows on two floor
levels, spaced asymmetrically. On the rear of the house (south elevation)
is a shed-roofed porch, the eastern half of which is enclosed with
aluminum cladding. |
