Description |
This small, 1.5-story, 3-bay bungalow faces north onto Birch Avenue.
Aside from large side dormer it is rather intact. It has a hipped roof
clad in asphalt shingles (appears like slate), and what appear to be the
original wooden German-sided walls. Frame building on rough concrete
foundation (probably over stone). The 2x2 sash windows appear original.
Front (north) façade has hipped-roofed gable dormer centered at crest.
Small shed roofed rear addition. Side profiles of shed roofed side
dormers impact elevation. Roof profile changes sloop over full-length
front porch. Front porch supported newer turned wooden posts. Main
entrance, may be original centered under dormer and flanked by larger 2x2
windows. Small set of concrete steps centered opposite door lead to
grade. Porch is frame.
Left or east elevation is dominated by 3-windowed shed dormer.
Fenestration on first level, east side: 3 spaced windows with wood
surrounds and door on rear addition. West façade also shows side dormer w
with just one off-center window. Fenestration on first level: 3 spaced w
windows with wooden surrounds. |
