This house is a two-and-a-half-story, three-bay, vernacular building and
its main architectural features are its steeply-pitched roof and hipped-
roof porch. It features a steeply-pitched, front-gable roof that is clad
with asphalt shingles and that has wood eaves. There is a center,
interior, banded brick chimney located towards the back of the roof
ridge. The house is clad in aluminum siding.All of the house’s windows
are replacements. The south (front) elevation of the house features a
one- story, full-length, hipped-roof porch and an off-set front door. The
porch is accessed by a wood staircase with a double, wood balustrade with
wood newel posts. It features three square columns that support the roof.
The off-set front door is flanked by a one-story, three-sided bay to its
west. There is one, single, one-over-over, double-hung sash window on
each side of the bay.
On the second floor, there are three one-over-one, double-hung sash
windows, one is centered more or less over the front door and the other
two are centered more or less over the western end of the first floor
bay. There is one, small, single, one-over-one, double-hung sash window
centered in the gable of this elevation.
The house’s foundation is clad in stucco. |
