Description |
Two story rectangular vinyl clad gable roofed residence on a raised
foundation, ridge is parallel to the street. The three bay, full width
three bay porch retains its original turned wood posts and ornamental
brackets. There are three two over two wood windows above two similar units
and a double entrance door (possibly original sash doors) with transom. The
porch deck and steps are wood as are the railings. The east elevation has a
second floor box bay near the front corner and a small louver in the gable
end. The rear "L" addition wall is an extension of the east wall and has
two windows over three. The west side has three second floor windows and an
enclosed hip roof porch below. |

History |
The house was constructed c. 1893. Historic maps show a vacant lot in this
location as late as 1890. The house first appears on the historic map of
1895 and on all succeeding maps and atlases. |
